The Lean & Sexy for Life Introduction

Do you want to get into the best shape of your life? Increase your sex drive? Like the way your body looks? Stop dieting? Look no further.

What’s the secret? Quite simple. It’s what you’ve always known; eat right and exercise. Is it really that simple? Yes. The biggest problem is that we have never really known exactly what a healthy diet is and how much exercise is necessary.

Choosing to eat foods that are tasty, wholesome, and nutritious and following a few simple rules are all it takes to lose excess weight and keep it off for good. Most of us want to eat right and look our best but simply don’t know what and how much to eat. Problem solved. It really couldn’t be any simpler.

Why is this approach so different? It’s not just what and how much you eat but your thoughts, beliefs, and habits surrounding food. 4 basic principles need to be addressed:

  • Food Habits – When & why you eat
  • Food Choices – What & how much you eat
  • Values – Your mental approach
  • Exercise – Burning calories, keeping the metabolism in high gear, and toning your body

It will take time. If you are overweight, you’ll need to commit 1 hour per day for exercise. That’s right, 1 hour. Let’s face it, the average person devotes 3 to 4 hours of computer and/or TV time per day. 3 to 4 hours! Let’s do some simple math – a day is 24 hours – 9 hours at work, 8 hours sleeping. That leaves 7 hours of relatively free time. No excuses. Use 1 of those hours to commit to getting into the best shape of your life. When you’ve achieved your weight loss goals, you can reduce the exercise by half and stay at the same weight.

If you’re already active and in pretty good shape but can’t seem to get those ripped abs you desire – you can get there in a few short months with a lot less effort than what you’re doing now. The key to ripped, sexy abs is body fat percentage – not how much you work them. A 15 minute workout twice a week is all you need for muscle development. And you can do them at home – no equipment necessary. The rest is body fat. Getting ripped abs is critical to feeling sexy & desirable. Your sex drive will increase & you’ll feel & look sexy.

What does it cost? It costs nothing to achieve dramatic results. No prepackaged foods. No calorie counting. No home exercise equipment. No expensive sets of DVDs. No weird or special foods. No dietary supplements, pills, or surgical procedures. The only expense is joining a gym, and even that is not necessary to achieve substantial weight loss and get ripped abs.

There are no magic potions or pills that will get your body where it needs to be and keep it there. There are also no exercise plans than can focus on belly fat. Fat is spread uniformly throughout the body. When fat is lost, it’s lost from all areas of the body. It is impossible to target just belly fat.

Diets will never work over the long haul because they are temporary in nature. Sacrifices are made for a short period of time in order to fit back into that bikini, look better at the beach, or squeeze back into your favorite pair of jeans. As soon as the goal is reached, the reversion occurs – right back to the old eating habits that got us overweight in the first place. It’s a constant cycle of dieting and gaining weight. To achieve permanent results, the old habits need to be destroyed and new, healthy habits created.

Beliefs and thoughts have incredible power. If you think that eating junk food is tastier than eating healthy, you will struggle. Keep a constant internal conversation going to re-align your thought processes. Whatever is learned can be unlearned.

This quote by Mahatma Ghandi describes the power of your thoughts and beliefs and is absolutely true. Thoughts need to be constantly weeded – shed the bad stuff and keep the good.

Your beliefs become your thoughts,
Your thoughts become your words,
Your words become your actions,
Your actions become your habits,
Your habits become your values,
Your values become your destiny.
